Options For Certified Properties

If you are facing the possibility of a Tax or Certificate Sale, or your property has been sold at Tax or Certificate Sale, you may be able to redeem your property by paying all taxes dues, additional fees and daily accruing interest. General deadlines for redemptions are listed below.

Before the Tax Sale

To be removed from Tax Sale, all delinquent taxes, penalties and fees must be paid with certified funds to the Porter County Treasurer prior to the Tax Sale. Please refer to your Notice of Tax Sale for details.

Taxpayers may qualify to enter into a Tax Sale Payment Plan with the Treasurer to avoid having their property sold at Tax Sale. For questions about removing your property from a Tax Sale, or details and qualifications for a Tax Sale Payment Plan, EMAIL the Treasurer's office or call (219) 465-3470
